Information Technology Division
The Information Technology (IT) Division supports the Sheriff's Office by providing secure, reliable, and modern technology services essential to law enforcement operations, detention services, and administrative functions.
Our mission is to ensure agency personnel have dependable access to the systems and tools they need to protect the public, maintain operational efficiency, and safeguard sensitive information.
Responsibilities
The IT Division is responsible for the management and security of the Sheriff's Office technology environment, including:
Network & Communications
Secure wired and wireless networks
Internet access, firewalls, and remote connectivity
Systems & Applications
Law enforcement and administrative systems
Email, collaboration, and data platforms
Cybersecurity & Compliance
Protection of criminal justice information
Identity and access controls
Compliance with CJIS and other applicable standards
User Support & Devices
Hardware and software support for staff
Mobile and in-field technology
Data Protection & Continuity
Secure data storage and backups
Disaster recovery and system availability
Supporting Public Safety
Technology is a critical component of modern policing. The IT Division works behind the scenes to ensure that deputies and staff have timely, secure access to information-whether in the office, the jail, or the field-while maintaining the highest standards of reliability and security.
